What are the National HR Priorities for Retail?

Our National Human Capital Management Survey results indicate that the number one national focus in HCM for the Retail Sector over the course of the next 3 years is Performance Management.

We then see Learning & Development and eRecruitment as 2nd and 3rd most important priorities nationally, with a focus on compliance, as well as retaining and developing staff.

Who are the major decision makers & current systems in the market?

Almost two thirds of HCM decisions lie with Human Resources. 62% of respondents indicating that the HR Director or Manager has the final say, with 22% of decisions made at the CEO level.

59% of respondents indicate that they have some form of Human Capital Management system in place, while a huge 41% state that they don’t currently have any HCM systems in place at all.

What's best for my company?

Nationally, more than two thirds of all retail organisations surveyed state they would be better equipped with more knowledge of World’s Best Practise & Return on Investment calculators in HCM.

From this survey data and subsequent feedback from key HR Leaders, we were able to identify that most HR projects aren't getting off the ground due to weak or non-existent business cases.
